Departure from Marrakech
Your Marrakech to Imlil Day Trip begins with a pickup from your hotel at 9:00 AM. We head south towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Moulay Brahim Gorges and the Berber market town of Asni (market day on Saturdays). The drive offers spectacular panoramic views of the foothills.
Arrival & Guided Hike
Upon arrival in the village of Imlil (1,740m), you will meet your local mountain guide. Begin a gentle hike through the village and into the surrounding valleys filled with walnut, apple, and cherry trees. Walk past waterfalls and streams, enjoying the stunning backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Toubkal.
Traditional Berber Lunch
After the hike, you will be welcomed into a traditional Berber family home in a village perched on the mountainside. Enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared lunch featuring Moroccan salad, tagine (chicken or vegetable), couscous, and seasonal fruit, accompanied by mint tea and panoramic terrace views.
Return to Marrakech
After lunch, take some time to relax by the river or explore the small shops in the village center. We then begin our descent back down the valley, meeting your driver for the comfortable return journey. You will arrive back at your accommodation in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
