2. THE DETAILED JOURNEY
Welcome to Marrakech
Start your trip with zero stress. Our professional driver will be waiting for you at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) holding a sign with your name. You will be transferred privately to your authentic Riad in the heart of the Medina.
Upon arrival at the Riad, enjoy a traditional welcome mint tea. The rest of the day is free for you to rest or explore the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
High Atlas & The Road of Kasbahs
We pick you up at 08:00 AM. We leave the city behind and climb the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m). We will make several stops for panoramic photos of the Berber villages.
We visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch in Ouarzazate, we drive through the Skoura palm groves and the Valley of Roses to reach our hotel in the Dades Valley.
Sahara Desert Experience
After breakfast, we drive to the Todra Gorges, a massive canyon with 300m high rock walls. You will have time to walk along the river. We continue through Touroug and Erfoud to reach the Merzouga dunes.
In the afternoon, you will switch to camels for a Sunset Camel Trek across the golden dunes. You will arrive at your Luxury Camp (private tent with ensuite bathroom). The night ends with a traditional Moroccan dinner and Berber drum music around the campfire.
The Grand Finale
Wake up early to watch the magical sunrise over the Sahara. Enjoy a camp breakfast and a hot shower.
If you chose Option A (Marrakech): We drive back via the Anti-Atlas mountains and Agdez. Drop off at your Riad in Marrakech approx 7 PM.
If you chose Option B (Fes): We drive North through the Ziz Valley (thousands of palm trees), Midelt, and the Cedar Forest of Azrou where you can see wild monkeys. Arrival in Fes approx 8 PM.

Is the pickup private?
Yes. We don't make you wait for others. The driver waits for you personally at the airport arrival hall.
What about lunches?
Lunches are not included. We stop at nice local restaurants where you can pay approx €10-12 per meal.
Can I skip the camels?
Yes. If you prefer not to ride camels, we can transfer you to the camp directly by 4x4 car.
