Departure & Agafay Desert
Your Atlas Mountains Day Trip From Marrakech begins with a pickup from your hotel. We head south towards the Agafay Desert, a unique landscape of rocky dunes. Here, you can take photos or enjoy an optional camel ride to experience the desert atmosphere just outside the city.
Lalla Takerkoust & Kik Plateau
We continue to Lalla Takerkoust Lake, a beautiful reservoir offering cool breezes and stunning reflections of the Atlas peaks. Next, we ascend to the Kik Plateau, a limestone outcropping that offers incredible panoramic views of the valleys below and the majestic mountains ahead.
Imlil Valley & Lunch
We arrive in the village of Imlil, the gateway to Mount Toubkal. Take a light, guided hike through walnut groves and traditional Berber villages to reach a waterfall. Afterward, relax at a mountain guesthouse for a delicious, authentic lunch with a direct view of the highest peak in North Africa.
Return to Marrakech
After lunch and tea with a local family, we begin our scenic drive back to Marrakech. We take a different route through the Moulay Brahim Gorges if time permits, arriving back at your hotel in the late afternoon.
