Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou
Your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes begins with a morning departure. We journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m), stopping for panoramic photos. We arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village famous for films like Gladiator. Enjoy a guided tour of its historic kasbahs before settling into your local hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we visit Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa," to see the cinema studios. We continue along the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," passing the Skoura oasis and the fragrant Valley of Roses. In the afternoon, we arrive at the stunning Dades Gorges, carved by the Dades River. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the valley.
Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert
We depart Dades for the magnificent Todra Gorge, where 300m vertical cliffs attract climbers from around the world. After lunch, we drive through the arid landscapes of Tinjdad and Erfoud to reach Merzouga. Here, the adventure peaks with a sunset camel trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt
Wake up early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, we travel north through the immense Ziz Valley, famous for its millions of palm trees. We ascend the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying the changing scenery from desert to cedar forests. We arrive in the town of Midelt, known for its apple orchards and minerals, for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.
Midelt – Cedar Forest (Azrou) – Ifrane – Fes
On the final day of your 5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes, we visit the Cedar Forest near Azrou to see the wild Barbary Macaque monkeys. We then pass through Ifrane, often called "Little Switzerland" for its alpine architecture.
