Detailed Itinerary
Casablanca – Rabat – Fes (295 km)
Begin your journey with a visit to the majestic Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. We then drive to Rabat to see the Hassan Tower before heading to Fes. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the Medina. Visit iconic landmarks like the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al Quaraouiyine University (the oldest in the world), and the vibrant tanneries. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Fes.
Fes – Ifrane – Merzouga Desert (470 km)
Depart Fes and head south into the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as "Little Switzerland," and the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the wild Barbary Macaque monkeys. Continue through Midelt and the breathtaking Ziz Valley palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon for a sunset camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and overnight in a luxury desert camp.
Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley (270 km)
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, travel west to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a canyon with 300m high vertical walls popular with climbers. After a walk by the river, continue to the Dades Valley. We will drive up the winding road to see the famous "Monkey Fingers" rock formations. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in the valley.
Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech/Casablanca
Travel through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis to Ouarzazate. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous film location. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. You can choose to end your tour in Marrakech (approx. arrival 5:00 PM) or transfer back to Casablanca (approx. arrival 8:00 PM).
