Casablanca – Rabat – Fes (295 km)
Begin your journey in Casablanca with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, admiring its intricate architecture and ocean location. After a brief exploration, we depart for Fes, the cultural heart of Morocco. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the ancient Medina. Visit historical landmarks such as the Al Quaraouiyine University, the Attarine Madrasa, and the bustling souks and tanneries. Overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Fes.
Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (467 km)
We leave Fes early and head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called "Little Switzerland." Next, we visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the wild monkeys. We continue through Midelt and the breathtaking Ziz Valley gorges and palm groves. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga. Here, you will switch to camels for a trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset. Spend the night in a luxury desert camp with dinner and Berber music.
Merzouga – Midelt – Casablanca (669 km)
Wake up early for a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, we begin the long return journey to Casablanca. This is a full day of driving, retracing our path through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will make stops for lunch (typically in Midelt or Zaida) and coffee breaks to stretch our legs. We arrive back in Casablanca in the late evening, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel.
